We continue to take some soundings of the real sector. The plastics industry also suffered from the economic crisis. The raw material crisis and supply problems in the world affect Turkish plastics industrialists negatively. In particular, fluctuations in exchange rates and increasing input prices due to imports continue to negatively affect the sector.
Especially the waits in customs warehouses cause both time and foreign currency to go out. Illegal money received under the name of delivery order, goods kept in temporary warehouses, increasing demurrage expenses of ships waiting to enter the port and too much unnecessary expenses are weighed by our industrialists engaged in foreign trade. Today, even a single dollar is important, the total of these costs incurred at customs reaches 4 billion dollars. In other words, our 4 billion dollars go into the pockets of someone abroad. When supply, freight and increasing energy prices are added to these problems at customs, our industrialists are rightly struggling.
