The day that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk came to Samsun to start the war of independence, 19 May 1919, is also accepted as the day that the Independence struggle of the Turkish nation has started. Atatürk, during the War of Independence, has seen that it was the young ideas that would take the Turkish nation further and oppose the dilapidated ideas. For this reason, the "youth" concept has a special importance for Atatürk. Atatürk, when talking about the youth, was talking about youth in the sense of ideas, meaning innovation in ideas, apart from the age limit. 

For Atatürk the youth meant the lighted faces of the future that would look out for the tomorrows, for the future, forever protect and defend the future and republic of Turkey with new ideas, improve and keep alive...

Our company's Young Generation Leadership Committee celebrated this day by realizing an organization named "First Step Walk With Youth". UPS Company GENY Committee, UPS Sports School and Culture Club students and company managers and employees did not leave them alone in this work. The walk that started at 09:00 with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem in Belgrad Forest has ended with the breakfast and collective photo taken in SarıyerTarihi Bilice Börekçisi.
