Integrated Management Systems Environmental Policy

Climate change is one of the dynamics that all stakeholders in society (governments, regulatory bodies, businesses, consumers and all other stakeholders in society) must struggle with, with significant economic and ecological consequences. The transition to a low-carbon economy within the scope of combating climate change will have significant impacts on the value chains of many sectors. This transition requires significant investments in most industries. These investments are focused on energy efficiency, renewable energy, micro mobility and circular economy, and technological developments in these areas offer new opportunities for everyone. GENERAL PRINCIPLES

UGM takes into consideration the following principles regarding the environmental management system and undertakes to comply with these principles together with all its employees.

1-To follow all legal regulations related to the environment, sustainability programs developed on national / international platforms, and to integrate applicable areas, primarily the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, into our processes; to fulfill our obligations in legal regulations and programs we are a member of,

2- To adopt an effective waste management system based on circular economy and waste hierarchy principles for waste that may occur as a result of our operations,

3- To act with the principle of responsible consumption in all our operations, to adopt environmentally friendly practices and technologies, to maximize water and energy efficiency,

4- To promote the paperless office concept with innovative solutions on the path to digital transformation and to try to minimize its impact on the environment,

5- To observe national and international emission targets within the scope of combating climate change, to reduce energy consumption, increase energy efficiency, expand the use of renewable resources and to carry out studies to reduce our direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions in order to provide added value to the low carbon economy, which is one of the cornerstones of sustainable development,

6- To prepare the greenhouse gas emission inventory at the corporate level every year within the scope of TS EN ISO 14064-1 standard and to fulfill its responsibilities in combating climate change on a voluntary basis,

7- To achieve our goals, to support our employees, suppliers, customers and other to ensure the participation and cooperation of our stakeholders,

8-To contribute to the development of our employees by carrying out training and internal communication activities aimed at increasing their awareness,

9-To plan our activities with an understanding based on the prevention of environmental pollution,

10-To provide the necessary resources by the senior management to carry out the activities within the scope of the Environmental Policy,

11-To ensure that all activities are regularly reviewed by the senior management for compliance with this policy.
