In the context of researching conscious consumption methods and alternative resources that do not neglect the demands of the growing world population and future generations, meet today's needs, and ensure the continued existence of natural resources, UGM has ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 50001 Energy Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 27001 Information Security Management System, ISO 371 Sustainable Development Management System, ISO 37001 Anti-Corruption Management System, ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction Management System, ISO 31000 Risk Management System, ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System, ISO 27701 Personal Data Management System, ISO 28000 Supply Chain Security, ISO 37301 Compliance Management Systems, ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System Management System adopts a sustainable development approach by the standards.

The sustainability policy forms the basis of UGM's activities and is incorporated into the business model, which will be implemented in all departments, starting from the board of directors.

UGM is aware of its responsibility towards the UN's Sustainable Development Goals to tackle global challenges such as climate change, poverty, hunger, inequalities, water scarcity, and biodiversity loss. It aims to increase living standards and welfare by expanding its investments and prioritizes supporting sustainable development while conducting its operations and decision-making processes.

UGM continues to strengthen its investments in terms of sustainability performance, considering the goal of "Decent Work and Economic Growth" and its financial targets. Aware of its impact on ecological, economic, and social dimensions, UGM is committed to developing the following SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) as its primary focus and shaping its operations accordingly until 2030:

  • SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
  • SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
  • 13TH SDG: Climate Action

UGM provides services that consume less energy and are sensitive to human health, biodiversity, and environmental resources. It supports innovative initiatives that offer ways to transition to a low-carbon economy that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint in line with the United Nations Science Based Targets Initiative. We continue to research and integrate the best available technologies in this field into our projects. In this direction, it supports efforts to reduce waste, use resources efficiently, and recover chemicals and energy within the scope of the European Green Deal.
