What is a YYS?

YYS, in short, is an internationally valid document that facilitates and authorizes your customs procedures. However, when we consider it more broadly, the Authorized Economic Operator Certificate is obtained by natural or legal persons within the borders of the Customs Territory of Turkey after operating for a minimum of 3 years. In addition, the Authorized Liability Certificate is also given to public institutions and organizations. Today, the YYS document is more commonly preferred than the document name's extended version.

What are the Advantages of YYS?

The Authorized Operator Certificate provides advantages to all companies providing international transportation services. These;

  • Priority right of way through border gates.
  • Green line application.
  • Possibility of checking and inspection.
  • The right to make summary statements with reduced mandatory information.
  • Less control and inspection.

In addition to these articles, the YYS Document provides the possibility of not adding documents to the import and export declaration, ATR / Invoice Statement / Eur. Med invoice declaration/issuance, a representation with missing documents, lump sum guarantee, and on-board transactions, also provide on-site customs clearance and authorized buyer in export and import. It also obtains its powers.
