On August 1, 2018, a seminar was held at MHU Conference Hall between 12.00 and 13.00 hours on the subject of "Women in Business and Social Life as Self-Representation" by World Board Member and CFO Mrs. Burcu KÖSEM.
Mrs. Burcu KÖSEM graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration of Anadolu University and graduated with Marmara University Micro MBA Program successfully. He also graduated from Kadir Has University Instructor Certificate Program as a Counselor Trainer. He started his career at the Human Resources Department at Dünya Yayıncılık AŞ in 1998 and continued his career in 2000 at the Department of Cost Accountancy- Budget Planning at Dünya Süper Dağıtım AŞ. Mrs. Kösem worked as the Budget Planning and Financial Affairs Group Manager at Dünya Globus Logistics Company in 2012, Since 2015 he has been serving as a member of the Board of Directors of World Group of Companies and CFO. As a member of Kasiad, Mrs. Kösem is also the managing director of many non-governmental organizations.
Mrs. KÖSEM, who started her career life as saying that he provided women's productivity, social prestige, self-esteem and economic freedom on the other hand, talked about the endless struggle of women in business and social life. Democratic developments have conveyed the view that the discriminatory attitude towards women is political, by conveying that rapid social changes, industrialized diversity of professions have taken women from home life into business life and become an indispensable part of the economy.
Mrs. Burcu Kösem, who expressed that women cannot reach desired level in terms of representation, equality and career, talked about women always playing a role in support units. On the professional level, since the proportion of female workforce is 38 percent, adding that 33 per cent of women are at the level of the Director, 26 percent are senior managers, and 20 per cent are acting as directors, management support for gender equality is required.
Women, before being motherhood, spouse, child, must have a female identity said Mrs. KÖSEM, woman imprisoned in the house, shall be dependent to men in economy. For this reason, the level of education must be elevated because participation in the workforce is also directly proportional to it. In the employment of women graduated from higher education, by giving knowledge that they have the lowest rate in Turkey, and, as a result, reiterated that women must realize their own power, and even create their own representation.
