Ever since human beings began to live as a society, they have been fighting among themselves. However, in essence, no war can be said to be a complete victory, no matter how brilliant the results. The victorious side also experiences the loss of many people, loss of equipment and ammunition, and the loss of assets such as bridges, roads and power lines in their country in order to achieve this result. Due to these losses on both sides, the phrase "the winner of the war will not be defeated" was put forward.

After Russia's attack on February 24, the President of Ukraine said in his first statement that "Ukraine did not choose the path of war and proposes to return to the path of peace", and said that the voices heard were not just bombs, but the descent of a new iron curtain separating Russia from the civilized world. As the Ukrainian troops continued to fight a huge resistance that Russia could not foresee, Russia abandoned its attempt to invade Kiev and concentrated on the Donbas region, which it claimed in the south-east of the country. However, the war, which most political analysts initially thought would take "a week", is still on.
