As stated by the outcomes of the study conducted within the scope of the Ministry of Industry and Technology's ‘2030 Industry and Technology Strategy’, there have been some changes in global supply chains due to geopolitical tensions, Covid 19 outbreak and trade wars. One of the most important changes is the issues experienced in the supply of products such as food, microchips and medical supplies during the Covid 19 process. This condition forced countries to be more resilient and flexible in their supply chains. Geopolitical tensions were also among the important changes in supply chains. Due to the recent disruptions in supply chains, countries and companies have re-evaluated the path they follow in supply chains. Türkiye, while taking important steps in the global economy, has shown that it has an important position in global supply chains due to its strategic location. The country aims to increase its adaptation to global supply chains by developing various global alliances and innovative strategies to maintain and increase its advantage. It also aims to strengthen its regional economic integration by developing development and trade corridors between Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Türkiye plans to develop strategies to increase its trade volume and competitiveness. Increasing the number and efficiency of logistics centres, strengthening the connections of industrial areas with ports and railway lines, implementing multi-modal transport applications on the Türkiye-Europe trade line and improving international railway connections are among these important strategic steps. Additionally, under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Türkiye will share its industrialisation experience with Turkic, Middle Eastern and African countries through institutions such as TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB and TSE. All these developments will strengthen the country in regional economic co-operation. In addition, the Development Road from Faw Port in the Persian Gulf to Europe and the Zangezur-Nahcivan-Kars connection, which will constitute another branch of the Caspian Trans-Caspian Central Corridor on the Asia-Europe route, will create a strategic infrastructure for trade facilitation and sustainable development.
