AGENDA AND CURRENT INFORMATION

We were deemed worthy of the Sustainable Business Award with our Sustainable Agriculture Project

In the ‘Sustainable Business Awards’ organized annually by the Sustainability Academy, projects that have made significant impacts by managing the economic, environmental and social impacts of institutions are evaluated.

We applied to the award ceremony, the eighth of which took place this year with Sustainable Agriculture project of our Unsped Agricultural Company, which was established on July 14, 2006 and started its operations in 2007 in the field of Social Impact which we improve with our professional knowledge and skills and taking confident steps in environmental sensitivity in line with the principle of “Our Responsibilities to Society and Humanity” of UNSPED Policy Manual.

At the ceremony where only 114 projects of the 168 projects reached the final and the first ones were announced on 25.11.2021, we were selected as the first title among the 35 projects that reached the final in the Social Impact category and we were awarded the prize. Rıza Mehmet KORKMAZ, our UGM General Manager, made a speech on behalf of our company.

Our aim in this project where it is extremely important for to show environmental management and land farming in the environment and desertification can also be slowed to our people is:  to demonstrate that added value could be achieved by planting close to 1 million fruit trees and to create sustainable business employment on land in the villages of Ambar and Kavuklar in the Ayrancı district of Karaman province  to grow plants that are sustainable by taking advantage of the conditions and climate that is renewed by the change of natural conditions. With our environmental win-win project that started in this way, a Solar energy system has been created for the energy needs that have been diversified due to large and small animals, meat, milk, organic matter provider that will value the soil while creating employment, and biogas energy production has been started to produce energy within hours that the sun does not produce energy.

Within the framework of sustainability, we have contributed to the country's economy and society by reusing a region that is considered lost. We would like to express our gratitude to all our employees who have worked and made efforts in this sense in our UNSPED Agricultural Company.
