E-COMMERCE AND THE EFFECTS OF COVID-19
Introduction
E-commerce in Turkey has increased in the last 10 years with developments in internet usage and Information Systems. The increase in e-commerce in Turkey and around the world shows that distances are not an obstacle to trade and that this trade offers companies the opportunity to increase their cross-border market share. With the emergence of the Covid-19 epidemic, the time spent by consumers in their homes has been extended, and the hours of face-to-face shopping have also been limited, and these restrictions have accelerated and increased e-commerce and digital transformation. It will not be a prophecy to say that purchases made within the scope of e-commerce will increase in the coming periods. Therefore, States will also focus their efforts on removing barriers to this new type of trade.
