UGM Test and Analysis Laboratory
Our UGM Test and Analysis Laboratory, which is an accredited laboratory, has started to provide GTIP determinations in raw materials, semi-finished and finished plastic and textile products with spectroscopic and microscopic analyzes since 2019 with its long years of experience in tariff detection; As of 2021, it has taken it one step further and started to serve as a full-fledged laboratory by breaking new ground in its sector.
Our laboratory has met the general requirements for the adequacy of test and calibration laboratories and has been awarded the TS/EN ISO17025 Accredited Laboratory certificate, which is an international standard, by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK), which is the only authorized institution.

The analyzes performed in our laboratory are listed below.
A total of six expert chemists, two of whom have doctorate degrees, are employed in the UGM Test and Analysis Laboratory. Almost all of our chemists are experts who previously worked in the Customs Laboratory of the Ministry of Commerce.
The purpose of the UGM Test and Analysis Laboratory is to analyze the products before the declaration registration and to determine their tariff positions correctly; In this way, by ensuring that the GTIP declaration is made without errors, it provides cost and time advantages to companies by preventing possible financial risks and penal situations.
The analyzes carried out in our laboratory are as follows:
FT-IR Spectroscopic Analysis
With the FT-IR Spectroscopy method, the characterization of polymeric materials from which plastics are made can be performed.
Examples of these are polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), fluorinated polymers such as PTFE, polyamide (PA) and polyesters (PES).
Qualitative (Qualitative) Fiber Analysis
Qualitative Fiber Analysis is the separation of textile fibers under a microscope. Examination of the structures of textile fibers under the microscope is important in terms of getting to know the fibers more closely. This analysis method is the examination of woven, knitted or non-woven fabrics or yarns by microscopic analysis method to understand which fibers they are made of. In this way, the surface, which is enlarged to the desired size under the microscope, is examined in detail and recorded digitally if necessary.
Quantitative (Quantitative) Fiber Analysis
Quantitative Fiber Analysis is the determination of fiber ratios in textile fibers. This analysis is the process of quantitative (quantitative) chemical analysis of fabrics consisting of a double and triple fiber mixture (blend). Basic principle in chemical quantitative fiber analysis; It is the chemical analysis of the mixture sample with a suitable solvent that dissolves one of the fibers forming the fiber mixture but does not dissolve the other. The portion that remains undissolved is weighed and its ratio is calculated according to the initial sample amount, and in this way, the proportions of the fibers in the mixture are determined.
Chemical analysis
Soap, detergent etc. with chemical analysis method. Analyzes and solubility tests of chemicals with surface-active properties can be performed.
