Potential E-Export Market
Potential E-Export Market

The increasing importance and trend of e-commerce worldwide clearly reveal the importance of using the power of e-commerce to make our country a global economic power. Our Ministry of Commerce also pioneers the digital transformation of our country. With the brand, it aims to ensure that its products reach international markets successfully and that Turkey becomes a critical supply base in the field of e-commerce. In this context, our Ministry conducted a comprehensive study on potential countries determined specifically for e-export, focusing on the "Remote Countries Strategy." The study aims to ensure that our exporters can access all the information they need from a single source while creating strategies and road maps for potential markets. The study also aims to increase the share of e-export in our country's general exports, which is currently 1 percent, to 10 percent. This comprehensive report examines the potentials and trends of different countries and offers a strategic road map to strengthen our global exports further. Therefore, it is a crucial resource to support the rise of our country's e-export sector. The report reflects the general state of the countries' e-commerce ecosystems and highlights essential opportunities. Evaluations made under the subheading of "Marketplaces and Special Days" examine the e-commerce marketing strategies of countries and reveal the impact of large-scale campaigns and events on e-commerce volume. The subheadings "Social Media" and "Regulations for E-Commerce" evaluate the effects of digital platforms on e-commerce and the effectiveness of the regulations implemented by countries in the field of e-commerce. Additionally, under the subheading "Customs Duties and Exemptions," how customs procedures and tax policies encountered in cross-border e-commerce affect e-commerce is also discussed. The subtitle "Digital Wallets and Payment Systems and Fast Shipping Companies" aims to strengthen the strategies of our exporters in this field by addressing the contribution of payment and logistics processes to the development of e-commerce. On the other hand, the evaluations made under the subheading "The Country's Rank in the Logistics Performance Index" will be an essential indicator for e-commerce logistics and help take practical steps.

Finally, the "Tips" section of the report includes vital factors that need to be considered to succeed in the cross-border e-commerce market and will contribute to shaping the road map of exporters and stakeholders in the sector. This report, prepared with information obtained from international databases and our Ministry's foreign representatives, is a candidate to be an essential reference source for decision-makers, the business world, and other stakeholders. In addition, it will pave the way for essential steps to create new opportunities in the field of e-export, to increase the competitiveness of our exporters in global markets, to increase the awareness of our country's products and the export of high-value-added products through e-export, and to strengthen the role of our government in the e-export sector.
